What will I see at a 10 week scan?
About BabyAt 10 weeks we would expect to see baby measuring approximately 32 millimeters as well as visualise baby's heartbeat. At this gestation there may also be the first signs of movement on the scan. Baby’s face is starting to form now meaning their eyes can react to light and their ears, mouth and nose are starting to form. At this point baby’s heart is beating at 180bpm which is three times faster than Mums!
About Baby Continued...
Baby is now about the size of a prune. You should be able to see an upper lip and 2 tiny nostrils on the nose. The ears are starting to develop on the sides of your baby's head, and the ear canals are forming inside the head. Baby's mouth will now contain all future milk teeth as the jawbone is developing.
