What Will I See at a 6 Week Pregnancy Scan?

At a 6 week pregnancy scan we would expect to see a tiny baby (approximately 4 mm) and the first flicker of baby’s heart beating. When having a 6 week early pregnancy scan, it is medically recommended that the scan is carried out trans-vaginally.
Trans-vaginal scans offer much more clear and accurate results pre 10 weeks gestation. With clearer view of baby, we can offer you more accurate diagnostic results and provider greater reassurance.
Should you have any queries or concerns about a trans-vaginal scan you can read our FAQs relating to Trans-vaginal scanning here or contact your local firstScan clinic.
