All early scans are performed by a qualified diagnostic Sonographer. If you are pre 10 weeks gestation this scan will be completed trans-vaginally (with consent) so a full bladder is not required. If you are unsure of your LMP or have irregular cycles, you will be asked to provide the date of your first positive pregnancy test to ensure accuracy of dates when booking your appointment. This scan is available to women over 18 years of age or to women of 16 and 17 years who attend with a responsible adult. This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. If our sonographer feels ongoing care is needed then a referral to your local NHS trust will be advised. Should you have any concerns please speak with your local clinic.
